The new album from indie legends Superchunk finds them once again revisiting the old themes that made them what they are, but with an aged finesse. Where their 90s output dealt with themes like growing up and moving on, since their reformation early this decade, the band is now grown up, and has found that things aren’t an easier, not that they ever implied they would be – all wrapped in their lovable lo-fi power pop sheen. A respectable release from one of indie’s elder statesmen.
