Standing somewhere between The Cure and David Bowie and coming off as some sort of British incarnation of latter-day My Chemical Romance as a result, Placebo return with some of the most accessible tunes they’ve released in the last 10 years. While not their strongest, lyrically or musically, and not exactly representative of their work as a whole, the album is a pleasant listen and is a must for fans of the band.
